My name is Rebecca Jayne, but I always go by Jayne. I am an average 27 year old girl (as of 2013). I have an average amount of adventure, an average amount of experience and an average amount of charm. That’s right, I’m average and totally okay with it.
I have ventured to the internet for advice on all kinds of things. The best birth control, the latest style, the funny rash I had on my foot… It’s become a natural way of life. When you type in your first question in Google, you get hundreds of blogs and responses. I find this really frustrating. Half the answers come from experts, and they don’t ever tell you what you really need to know, only what ‘might’ or ‘could’ happen. By the time you become an ‘expert’ you don’t remember what it was like for us average people. And then there are the complainers who either take joy in bashing everything, or just can’t be satisfied.
I am not an expert. If the calculation of an expert says you have to spend 10,000 hours at one thing, then the closest thing I’m an expert on is sleeping. So I’ve decided to share my experience, as an average person, with the other average people out there. This will be a faithful narrative of everything I experience.
Part of me is afraid. I don’t always want to talk about the first time I did something, especially if it was horrible. But to get the right answer, sometimes you have to be willing to give the right answer.
I’m confident enough in myself to be willing to try things. I’m not that person who says yes to everything, but I also don’t say no to everything. If there’s something specific you’d like me to write about, don’t be afraid to ask. If the answer is ‘I have no idea’, I’ll say that as well.
